Ricky Garcia, a remarkable man of God, brilliant Rio Grande Valley real estate investor, loving husband, and father, is affectionately remembered following his untimely death. On June 15th, 2024, Ricky Garcia, a former pastor of The Family Church in McAllen, Texas, passed away in a car accident. The Family Church, where Garcia began his journey as a man of God and preacher, posted the heartbreaking news on their Facebook page:

“…It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our friend and former pastor at The Family Church, Ricky Garcia. Ricky was a beloved husband to Pastor Nikki, and an incredible father to his two children, Emberly and Drako & impacted the lives of many in the kingdom. He passed away early this morning June 15th, 2024. We ask that you partner with us through prayer for the Garcia family.”

The church indicated that funeral announcements and visitation details would be released once the family finalizes them. Ricky’s wife, Nikki, also shared a heartfelt tribute to her late husband, expressing her hope to meet him again in heaven.

Early Life and Ministry

Ricky Garcia hailed from McAllen, Texas, and pursued his studies in Psychology at the University of Texas Pan American in Edinburg. His childhood was dedicated to pastoral work at The Family Church, which he began in late 2013 after finishing a ministerial training program in 2012. Ricky and his wife Nikki worked hard with teenagers, directing them toward a life of ministry and evangelism, strengthening their connection with Jesus Christ, and instilling a deep love for the Bible.

After four years of impactful work, Ricky was named an Associate Pastor of The Family Church in McAllen. His passion for disciplining and equipping people for ministry was well-known. In his free time, he enjoyed exercising, playing sports, and hunting.

Family and Personal Life

Apart from his pastoral responsibilities, Ricky co-founded Goodhome LLC, a real estate investment firm. He created a YouTube channel to share his love for Christ and family, reaching out and inspiring people far beyond his small community.

Ricky was a devoted husband to Nikki Garcia and a caring father to his two daughters, Emberly and Drako. Ricky and Nikki worked hard with teenagers, supporting them in their spiritual development and developing a deep love for Jesus Christ and the Bible.
