A pregnant special education teacher unexpectedly collapsed and died in her school, only a few weeks before she was scheduled to give birth to her first child.
On Friday, March 8, 29-year-old Courtney Fannon, was wrapping up her day at a school in Kendall, New York, and shortly after texting her husband, she was found unconscious in the school. She was rushed to the hospital, where efforts were made to save both her and her unborn baby girl. Tragically, by 6:30 p.m. that evening, they were both pronounced dead.

Courtney Fannon taught special education at Kendal Central School in Rochester, New York. She was 8 months pregnant. Courtney and Kurtis were about to welcome their unborn baby (first child), Hadley Jaye within four weeks but in a tragic event, Kurtis lost both his wife and his unborn child. The actual reason for Courtney Fannon’s sudden passing is still unknown. There has been no official statement from family members till now as they are still in deep shock.

Courtney Fannon was a special education teacher at Kendall Elementary School in Kendall, New York. Courtney has been teaching special education to her adoring students in New York since 2018. Kurtis and Courtney got married on August 20, 2022. After 10 years of being together, they were expecting their daughter in just 4 short weeks.
The couple’s friend Matt explained that Kurtis is currently living his “worst nightmare of having to return to a home, filled with baby toys, bottles, furniture, and a finished nursery, that will no longer be filled with the cooing sounds and shuffling of a newborn”.
