The incident unfolded at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Saturday in the 300 block of West 19th Street. Authorities discovered a 41-year-old man, identified as Miguel Zamudio, lying in the driveway of a residence, having sustained a gunshot wound to the head. Zamudio was immediately rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention. But the wounds turned out to be lethal, and the next day he was declared deceased.

Miguel and his family embarked on what was supposed to be a routine visit to his parent’s home for lunch. But as soon as they arrived, their plans took a terrifying turn. Miguel’s family was shocked and astonished when he was shot unexpectedly by an armed assailant while he was still in the driveway.
Accused Arrested
In the incident’s aftermath, police identified the suspect as 27-year-old Jerell Alexander Lindsey. Interestingly, Lindsey was discovered not far from the crime scene, having sought safety in a nearby home. Lindsey made frightening statements to police while being taken into custody, claiming there was a bomb and other devices on the property.

Miguel, aged 41, shared a deep bond with his childhood sweetheart, whom he had been married to for over 12 years.
