A Family’s Ordinary Day Turns Into a Nightmare

Miguel and his family embarked on what was supposed to be a routine visit to his parent’s home for lunch. But as soon as they arrived, their plans took a terrifying turn. Miguel’s family was shocked and astonished when he was shot unexpectedly by an armed assailant while he was still in the driveway.

In the incident’s aftermath, police identified the suspect as 27-year-old Jerell Alexander Lindsey. Interestingly, Lindsey was discovered not far from the crime scene, having sought safety in a nearby home. Lindsey made frightening statements to police while being taken into custody, claiming there was a bomb and other devices on the property.

Miguel’s Life

Miguel, aged 41, shared a deep bond with his childhood sweetheart, whom he had been married to for over 12 years. As a proud native of Holland and a graduate of HHS in the 90s, Miguel’s roots ran deep in his community. He leaves behind a loving family including his wife, parents, siblings, and two cherished children, along with his beloved dog Ivy, who he likely shielded from harm.

Miguel worked at Sekisui Kydex in the plastics industry, where he handled extrusion equipment. His career was characterized by passion and dedication. Beyond his professional achievements, Miguel’s infectious laughter and lighthearted approach to life endeared him to all who knew him.

GoFundMe Page

In response to Miguel’s unexpected death, Lydia Rodriguez created a GoFundMe page to raise funds for Miguel’s family members. The crowdsourcing campaign aims to lessen Miguel’s medical bills and show the community’s support for the family at this difficult time.

As Miguel’s family grapples with their profound loss, they hold onto cherished memories of his laughter, the joy he brought to others, and his remarkable ability to never take life too seriously. In honoring Miguel’s life, they hope to inspire others to embrace love, kindness, and selflessness in the face of adversity.
